Once a lush, green island, Madagascar loses around 200,000 hectares of forest each year. Solar cookers are meant to cut the reliance on firewood and save the threatened forests. The latest cooker model developed by Swiss development group ADES boasts a special feature - an integrated battery that can help charge electrical devices.
